Introduction

The Diamond Discovery Hub is a registry of scholar-led Open Access journals without author fees in Europe, designed to increase visibility, discoverability and recognition of diamond journals. The DDH is a dynamic data collection, growing over time. It is implemented as a responsive, WCAG (Web Content Accessibility Guidelines) compliant website with an SEO friendly UI. The DDH is scalable, easy to maintain, and possible to expand in the future.

Description

The DDH is one of the key services of the European Diamond Capacity Hub (EDCH). It operationalizes the “Diamond Open Access” concept through comprehensive parameters and functionalities for data collection, and makes new facets of diamond publishing visible. The DDH strengthens Diamond OA publishing of journals from the public and/or institutional sector, owned and operated from within academia or researchers. It aims to create the most comprehensive list of diamond journals in Europe for stakeholders.

Researchers and readers: Stop hunting for trustworthy, fee-free journals. The DDH will help you assess the nature of Diamond Open Access journals and their publishers.

Research Performing Organisations and funders: Need evidence to guide OA policy and investment? The DDH provides a trusted observatory of diamond publishing channels for policy making and further improvement of the publishing sector.

Diamond OA journals: Amplify visibility and credibility. Register with the DDH to showcase your diamond status within a larger collection of institutional journals, and be discovered by researchers, RPOs, funders, and aggregators.

Publishing/institutional service providers: Make your journals visible where it matters. You can help their journals get their data aligned, improved, and harmonized for broader dissemination, thus reaching recognition for their diamond effort.

Aggregators: Want to index Diamond OA journals at scale? The DDH is there for you. You can also retrieve data compliant with your requirements.
