This coffee lecture in the context of CRAFT-OA is on technical standards. It addresses beginners in the field of institutional publishing - that means institutional publishing services (ISPS) as well as scholars who want to start a Diamond Open Access journal. The lecture focuses on the Open Journal Systems (OJS) publishing software. On the basis of the Diamond Open Access Standards (DOAS), the lecture presents a list of technical standards, which is deepened within the scope of the possibilities of OJS. Some standards can only be met with specific plugins. The lecture presents an overview of plugins and best practices for providing a stable and sustainable publication environment for Open Access journals. This enables listeners to independently meet technical standards. In this way, the lecture contributes to quality-assured Diamond Open Access publishing.
